The channels that are easy to overlook

Back gutters behind chimneys, concealed channels, dormers, roof windows and Velux-type windows can collect leaves, moss, silt and twigs. Conservatory and main-roof junctions, and places where a roof meets a wall, also deserve attention. These drainage points are often difficult to inspect from the ground.

Find the obstruction before assuming a roof defect

Compacted debris can form a dam and divert water into a junction it was never intended to enter. We assess accessible drainage areas and choose a suitable clearance method, explaining any access limits. If signs suggest a problem beyond debris clearance, we make that distinction clear.
