Respect the existing system
Traditional cast iron and older gutter profiles need a considered approach to their condition, joints and supports. We assess what can sensibly be retained and explain repair options before recommending replacement. The same care applies to a small cottage as to a larger historic home.
Compatibility cannot be assumed
Older imperial and obsolete systems cannot always be matched with current fittings. We identify the profile and discuss suitable options and limitations. For listed properties, any requirements affecting proposed alterations should be confirmed before the work is agreed. We do not assume every historic system can be repaired with a readily available part.
