Why Do My Gutters Keep Blocking in the Same Place?

A recurring blockage can point to a low spot, poor support or a restricted outlet.

What this looks like in practice.

Standing water is a reason to investigate; the photograph alone does not establish the cause.

Look beyond the leaves

Debris settles where water slows. A sagging section, incorrect fall or partially blocked outlet can make the same area troublesome after every clean. Check whether water remains after rain and explain the pattern when requesting an inspection.

Correct the cause where possible

Cleaning removes the immediate obstruction. Resetting levels, replacing brackets or correcting the outlet may be needed to stop the pattern repeating. The appropriate repair depends on the condition of the existing gutter.
