Use the property as your guide
An inspection after the main autumn leaf fall is a useful starting point. Properties under trees or with substantial moss may need attention more often. A sheltered property with little debris may behave differently.
Do not wait for the next scheduled clean
Overflowing, new drips and plants growing in the gutter warrant attention sooner. A recurring blockage soon after cleaning also needs investigation rather than simply a shorter cleaning interval.
